Major and Minor Subdivision Applications
Use by Review Permit Applications and Rezoning/Variance Applications

Please be informed that at 7:00 p.m. on August 17, 2020 in the Rocky Ford City Council Chambers, located at 203 South Main Street in Rocky Ford, Colorado, the Otero County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing for the following as required by the Otero County Land Use Code, as the same affects the property situated in the County of Otero and the State of Colorado:

A Minor Subdivision request to split off 4.0 and 1.0 acres from 39.32 acres in an Agriculture Zoned District (A-1). A tract of land lying in the Burrell Estate Subdivision in the NW1/4 of Section 17, Township 23S., Range 56W. of the 6th P.M. The property is commonly addressed as Land, Rocky Ford, CO.  The owners of record are Genevieve Osburn, Floyd & Orlinda Grano and Aaron Parker.

A Minor Subdivision request to split off 1.81 acres from 6.24 acres in an Agriculture Zoned District (A-1). A tract of land lying in the SE1/4NW1/4 of Section 4, Township 24S., Range 55W. of the 6th P.M.  The property is commonly addressed as 24620 Cuchara, La Junta, CO.  The owner of record is Otero Estates, LLC and the applicant is Kelly Huddleston.

A Minor Subdivision request to split off 10.34 acres and 2.0 acres from 149.86 acres in an Agriculture Zoned District (A-1).  A tract of land lying in the SW1/4 of Section 18, Township 23S., Range 55W. of the 6th P.M.  The property is commonly addressed as 28260 County Road 25, Swink.  The owners of record are Gary B. & Margret Hanagan and Country Somers Living Trust /Judy Somers (Applicant).

A Use by Review request to board seven horses in a Mixed Residential Zoned District (R-2). A tract of vacant land lying in the Home Place Subdivision of Section 25, Township 26S., Range 57W. of the 6th P.M.  The property is commonly addressed as vacant land, La Junta, CO.  The owners of record are Eugene and Marcella Shoulderblade.

The Otero County Commissioners will hold a public hearing regarding the above referenced applications on the August 24, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. in the Boardroom of the Otero County Commissioners, located in the Otero County Courthouse, Room 107, La Junta, Colorado.

Any person may appear before said Otero County Planning Commission and/or Board of County Commissioners, at the time and place stated above, to be heard on the above referenced Applications.

Planning Commission Board will meet at 6:00 p.m. for work session.
